Murder of UP DSP: March 4, 2013- News n Analysis by Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, on the issue of murder of UP DSP. The Villagers in Uttar Pradesh have locked the Director General of Police (DGP) inside a room and surrounded the house of the murdered Deputy Superintendent of Police when the DGP met his wife. What do you like to say about it?
The media reports in this issue do not match with each other. One report says that villagers refused to let the DGP out till Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav visits the family.
The other report based on the version of Arun Kumar, ADG, Law and Order of Uttar Pradesh, it is not true that the DGP is locked up inside. He said there is no questionof gherao or locking him up.
Whole protesting against the murder of the policeman, his wife said that she would not allow the body to be buried unless the Chief Minister visits her. “I demand that the Chief Minister come here and resolve this issue. I demand Raja Bhaiya be subject to a police investigation, and the CBI should also intervene. If the CM does not come here I will not bury my husband. He will have to come or I will commit suicide,” she said.
Even earlier she had threatened to commit suicide in front of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s house if she did not get proper justice. As per his wife “He was under a lot of pressure. He was continuously being threatened and didn’t want to stay here. If I don’t get justice, I shall go to Akhilesh Yadav’s house and commit suicide.”
In this regared, it is reported that Raja Bhaiya has already resigned as the state’s Food and Civil Supplies Minister on Monday after he was booked for the murder of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Zia-ul-Haq. He met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Monday and submitted his resignation.
It is confirmed that Akhilesh has accepted Raja Bhaiya’s resignation. However, in this regard, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati said on Monday that there should be President’s rule in Uttar Pradesh.
“Even after a year in office, the Samajwadi Party (SP) has not been able to get its act together. If police are not secure, what can common people expect?,” the former UP chief minister said.
Though political experts think that Raja Bhaiya’s resignation is an eyewash and would later on be adjusted, I don’t think Akhilesh could commit such a blunder being himself a discipline and honest politician.
