As report from Congress office and media reports, MPCC chief Manikrao Thakre said the daylong interaction was not being organized to pick out a chief for the Mumbai Regional Congress Committee (MRCC), which is lying vacant.
He further said that the meetings, which are likely to be held now at the state Congress headquarters in Tilak Bhavan instead of the MRCC office at Azad Maidan, are meant to assess the party work.
