Music launch of 'Matru Ki Bijlee ka Mandola'

Bollywood actor Imran Khan, Pankaj Kapoor and Anushka Sharma’s starrer movie ‘Matru Ki Bijlee ka Mandola’ music launched. Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola is an upcoming Bollywood comedy drama. The film is written and directed by Vishal Bharadwaj. Director Vishal Bhardwaj, actors Anushka Sharma and Imran Khan launched the music of his upcoming film ‘Matru Ki Bijlee ka Mandola’ on 4 December.

On the music release director Vishal Bhardwaj said that, “The film is set in Haryana and the music is a blend of Haryanvi folk and African music.” He is also the music director of the film. Renowned writer Gulzar has penned the lyrics and the album is on Sony Music. The title song is by Sukhwinder Singh and Ranjit. Commenting on the film’s ‘pink buffalo’ Bhardwaj said the animal had a unique character and role in the film

Radio Mirchi played the music of the film on the Sunset Samosa program with RJ Meera and RJ Suren. The songs were played on the station and the listeners get to hear songs of upcoming movie for the first time on-air. Imran, Anushka and Vishal Bharadwaj visited radio mirchi studio to unveil the music of their most awaited film. They shared some interesting facts from the film while the songs were played on-air.

Imran said, “The music of the movie is very unique and it will appeal to all our fans. Matru ki Bijlee ka Mandola’ and Khamakha are my favourite tracks.” He also jokingly said his favorite character in the movie was the item girl Gulabo. Anushka was super excited about her tattoos, “Bijlee is truly an exciting character. It was a lot of fun essaying the bold, straightforward aspects of her nature.” The movie is slated to release on 11 January 2013.
