Court issues warrants against Shilpa, Gere

Jaipur, April 26 2007 - A court here today issued arrest warrants against Hollywood star Richard Gere and actor Shilpa Shetty for their public kiss during an AIDS awareness program in the capital early this month.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jaipur city, Dinesh Gupta issued the warrants on a PIL filed by a Jaipur resident Poonam Chand Bhandari as per PTI.
Activists in Varanasi, Bhopal,Kanpur, Indore, Delhi and Mumbai burnt effigies of Gere and Shetty over the issue.
The public has also shown anger after seeing the kissing pictures of Shilpa and Gere in other parts of the country. In India, public cannot allow such naked nuisance in open.
