Lara Dutta is ready for her directorial debut in Bollywood

Former Miss Universe and Bollywood actress Lara Dutta is ready for her directorial debut in Bollywood. She made her Hindi film debut in 2003 with Andaaz and won a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award for it. She was appeared in successful series of films such as Masti, No Entry, Kaal, Bhagam Bhag, Partner, Housefull, Chalo Dilli and Don 2. Lara Dutta got married to Indian tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi in 2011. She was blessed with a baby girl who she named Saira on 20 January 2012.
Lara Dutt is has a penchant for multitasking. She is playing many roles right now, that of an actor, producer, designer, homemaker and a perfect mother. Lara says, she would like to soon direct a film. “I am a producer today and I know at some point of time I would like to try my hand at direction and I don’t think it is too far down in the future. I think it will happen eventually,” Lara said. “Even if I am acting or not, but through some production or my husband’s production (Bheegi Basanti), I will constantly be associated with the Indian film industry,” she added. The 34-year-old actress motto is to stay connected to the industry for the rest of her life.
When asked her about the perks of motherhood, she said: “I have unearthed a huge trove of patience, which I never had before. I have always been self-reliant but it has given me so much more confidence. I have traveled with Saira across the world and we have done amazing trips. “I am a hands on mum and I have done it all on my own. And when you get through an entire day, you feel such an immense sense of accomplishment. Your baby is happy and healthy. It has changed me for better,” she added. Lara will soon be seen in director Bejoy Nambiar’s movie David, which also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, Tabu, Vinay Virmani and Isha Sharvani. The movie is expected to release some time next year.
