Ntini rips apart Indian batting

Durban, December 30, 2006 - India's chances of saving the match got a severe blow early on when play got underway after a delayed start due to bad light.
Makhaya Ntini struck twice in his first two overs, snaring Sachin Tendulkar for naught and then Wasim Jaffer who sheepishly surrendered with a mis-queued pull shot for 28 leaving the Indians 45 for four, as per HT.
Nitini scalped Tendulkar for a duck in the first over of the day to thwart India's chances of saving the Test. Having lost Sehwag and Dravid early, Indian batsmen will have to bat out of their skins to save the Test on the final day of the second Test at Durban.
At stumps on the fourth day, India were struggling at 38/2, with Jaffer batting on 22 and Tendulkar yet to open his account. With rain and thunderstorm predicted, the weather holds the key as India would be desperately hoping for an intervention from the rain gods and South Africa can only keep their fingers crossed.
