Kidnappers threaten to kill one hostage

Kidnappers holding two Chinese engineers in Pakistan have threatened to kill one of them if the authorities didn’t lift the siege on their hideout.The men are being held in South Waziristan, a tribal region bordering Afghanistan.
Security forces have been fighting militants linked to Al-Qaeda in the area. Pakistani officials said that the two engineers were kidnapped with one or two Pakistani security men on October 9.
Wang Ende and Wange Teng, the hostage were working on Pakistan's Gomal Zam Dam project for a Chinese state run company, reports say.
However the Pakistan officials have optimistically stated that the crisis would be sorted out sooner or later and the hostages would be freed unharmed.
