Conditions of Pramod Mahajan doubtful, not clear
MIL/Agencies/Cybernoon, Apr 28, 2006.

Mumbai - 28 Apr.-The condition of Pramod Mahajan, BJP leader continues to be critical even on the sixth day. Though some encouraging bulletin improving his conditions is given but frankly speaking, his condition is not stable, as per doctors, who spoke in anonymity.

However, The Director (Administration) of Hinduja Hospital, while speaking to reporters, Anupam Varma,  said, "Medically, this is going to be a long-drawn affair. Mr Pramod Mahajan is still on ventilator support and dialysis."

Varma added that Mr Mahajan's condition is 'critical but stable', and that the drug requirement was gradually decreasing. "The recovery seems to be very slow but in the right direction," he stated.

Though the hospital sources have given encouraging news about Mahajan's health, the sources of Hinduja Hospital say that Mahajan's kidney function is very poor and his liver too not cooperating, hence this is where complications still stay.

Police records Mahajan family's statements

Police has started recording statements of family members of BJP leader Pramod Mahajan in connection with the assault on him by younger brother Pravin on Saturday, as per Cybernoon.com.

A team of Worli police is camping at Hinduja hospital, where it is slated to record statements of Mahajan's wife, Rekha, son Rahul and brother-in-law and senior BJP leader, Gopinath Munde.

Among these persons, Rekha and Rahul Mahajan were the closest to the place of shootout, while Munde was among the first who reached Mahajan's flat to take him to the hospital.
