Mumbai Apr. 23 - Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Former Prime Minister and Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, BJP Vice President visited Pramod Mahajan at the Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai.

Earlier, BJP President Rajnath Singh cut short his yatra to visit Mahajan in the hospital. He has now flown back to Haldwani from where he will resume his journey.

Among others who met him this morning were BJP leader Jaswant Singh, lyricist Javed Akhtar and wife Shabana Azmi.

Mahajan is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital, a day after he was shot by his brother Pravin.

There is a hope of some improvement but doctors are not yet certain.  Slight improvement in Pramod Mahajan's condition, but still quite critical. He shows  some signs of consciousness, hand and eye movement. Doctors plan to stabilise Mahajan, scale down life support and say he has 50-50 chance.

Expert team of doctors from UK has arrived in Mumbai to examine him. Mahajan's liver bleeding reduces, UK's Dr Mohd Rela to decide on liver transplant.
