Tamil Television artiste Vaishnavi commits suicide

Chennai, Apr. 18 - Popular artiste Vaishnavi is alleged to have committed suicide by hanging herself at her home, police said here.
The 21-year old television serial artist was found hanging from a fan at her residence in the upmarket Anna Nagar on Monday, police sources added.
She had acted in several popular tele serials and was also a compere for many television programs.
The reason for the suicide was not immediately known and an investigation has been initiated in this regard, a senior official told.
