Some noted film personalities like Yash Chopra, music director Khayyam and actor Anil Kapoor, were felicitated on Thursday for their outstanding contribution made by them to the cinema industry at the closing ceremony of the International MAMI film festival.

The jury was also pleased to give the international award to Jhanu Barua's Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara as decided by the FIPRESCI, the international organization of film critics,

The decision on Maine Gandhi Ko Nahi Maara was unanimous and consensus.   The Jury also adored Rituparno Ghosh's Aantarmahal .

Chopra said that the award was "all the more special'' because it was given by members of the film industry. Khayyam said that his score for the film Kabhie Kabhie marked a "turning point" in his career.
