Islamabad, Pakistan: July 11, 2007 (Wednesday) - The most shocking news for the militant operation and the setback to the rebels in the Lal Masjid is that their leader Abdul Rashid Ghazi has been killed in the operation. He is the leader who is allegedly linked to Al-Qaeda and the Taliban, who fought with rocket-propelled grenades and sniped at soldiers from the minarets.

Islamabad, Pakistan: July 10, 2007 (Tuesday) - Pak troops launched a comprehensive attack on the Lal Masjid complex here early this morning between 00.10 and 4 A.M. after their talks failed with radicals to end the week-long confrontation. The mosque has been cleared but fighting is still going on in the compound of Madrasa.
