New Delhi – President Vladimir Putin’s remarks made by him in the UN Security Council created a serious confusion that could threaten Indo-Russian relationship. After realizing the repercussion of his remarks, he has now clarified that he, in fact, supported India’s case for getting the veto power in an expanded UN Security Council, which is misunderstood.:

Though BBC has apologized for screening an interview with a man claiming to be from Dow Chemical, which they said was a hoax coinciding with 20th anniversary of Bhopal disaster, is not justified from our angle.. In this tragedy 40 tonnes of lethal gas was leaked and killed more than 3,500 in one of the world’s worst disasters. BBC did it in good faith and it could be correct to some extent, though the man, who claimed the responsibility, was wrong.

The ill-fated Bhopal plant was owned and operated by Union Carbide India, Limited (UCIL). It was an Indian company in which Union Carbide Corporation held just over half the stock. There were also other stockholders and Indian financial institutions and private investors in India. The plant was designed, built, and managed by UCIL using Indian consultants and workers.

Tokyo - Japan and South Korea initiated a move of forming a free trade alliance with Asean on Tuesday; China has completed a similar deal. Japan’s Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi and South Korea’s President Roh Moo-hyun made separate agreements with the 10-nation Association of South-East Asian nations to start talks early next year.

Iran finally decided and greed to freeze all its nuclear program on Friday and dropped its insistence that its 20 uranium enrichment activities should be exempted from a deal with the International Atomic Energy Agency. IAEA cameras instead of being sealed would monitor the centrifuges, which are crucial to the enrichment process, which Iran has agreed.

Srinagar – There was a definite plan from a section of some militant group to assassinate Manmohan Singh, India’s Prime Minister, who was to visit Jammu and Kashmir hours after. Before the rebels, who had come over there most probably to assassinate the Prime Minister, were surrounded in the building by the security forces where they were hiding and planning to assassinate the Prime Minister.
